Play Therapy for Children

For young children who are experiencing emotional or behavioral challenges, the best way to support them is through their own first language: play. Child-centered play therapy creates a space for young children to attend their own 1:1 therapy sessions with a trained mental health provider who is able to facilitate emotional growth and improve child’s functioning through play.

Providers at First Light Therapy are trained and experienced in working especially with children ages 3-8 years old, holding an extensive amount of education in early childhood development, norms, challenges, and strategies. Because our providers are highly trained in the early childhood population, it means that you and your family will receive high quality, specialized care.
